Our Founder
Little did I know the past would hold the key to my future.
My fondest childhood memory is spending most of my days after school with my father at his clothing atelier. This place became a second home to me.
I remember being surrounded by the vibrant fabrics of the ’80s and spending time with all the seamstresses as they created trendy outfits as if by magic. The time spent with my dad instilled in me a dormant passion for fashion.
It wasn't until my daughters were teenagers that I realized I wanted to help girls and other women find fabulous outfits in which they would feel comfortable and simultaneously be trendy. As a mom myself, I noticed that girls, especially teens going through those challenging years, often struggled to find appropriate yet chic styles. If I could help these girls, why not help their moms too?
This led me to start my very own store in the heart of Coral Gables, which has been known as Trend. I’ve always believed that girls and women should dress in whatever makes them feel and look their best while also focusing on timelessly trendy clothing that never goes out of style. Every day, I’ve had the opportunity to develop and nurture special relationships with all my customers because they are what make the brand come to life.
Now, after all these amazing years, I knew it was time for a new chapter in this journey, which led me to rebrand Trend to If So. There is a cohesiveness between the two, as I focus not only on being trendy but also on encouraging everyone to be unapologetically themselves. I am grateful and proud that we have now been able to grow the #IfSoTrendsetter community by opening two more locations in Boca Raton and Aventura.

How Our Trend Started
We’ve quickly become a Coral Gables favorite. Why?
Because Ana Mari, our founder, saw a need for a boutique where girls could find trendy, unique, and age-appropriate clothing—without breaking the bank! Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Ana Mari has always had an eye for style.
After studying business at Boston College and fine-tuning her creativity at the University of Miami with a degree in art and photography, she went on to open two successful women’s stores in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. But it wasn’t until she became a mom that the idea for Trend came to life. "Shopping for my girls was always a challenge," she recalls.
"That’s when I thought, why not create a place where moms and daughters can find clothes they both love?"
